What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to first have them share any old monologues they have worked on in the past. If they are new to the performance world, we'll play some games/do some warm-ups so I can gage where they are at and then move forward from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My dad owns comedy clubs, so it's in my bones from when I was a toddler on.

Prograduate, professional training from Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre.

Started teaching with a couple local theatre companies after college.
Then started offering my own programs when I was traveling as an effort to get theatre into more rural communties!
What types of students have you worked with?
Students at young as four, and adults approaching 82!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
When I was in India, I had to learn how to teach physical theatre without using language-- cause few of us had a common one to share, besides that of the heart, emotion and physicality! It was incredible how well we came to understand each other and transform the spaces we were in with our creative process!

Be ready to be silly and serious at the same time.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are you hoping to gain from lessons? Why are you passionate about this work? And how is this displayed through your commitment to growth?
