About

I have dedicated my life to the game of baseball, and recently the game of softball as well. Seamlessly transitioning from a standout player to an influential coach shaping the next generation of athletes. With over 15 years of coaching experience spanning from young kids to collegiate level athletes, I feel that, my impact goes beyond just physical prowess, as I emphasizes the crucial mental aspects of the game.

My journey in baseball began during my time at American River Junior College, where I excelled both on the field and in the classroom. I was good enough and dedicated enough to earn recognition as a five-tool junior college athlete. As I progressed to becoming a four year collegiate athlete I had earned the prestigious accolade of NAIA All American which was a crowning achievement to my time playing in college.

In 2021, I joined USA Premier softball, reigniting a passion for coaching. Despite initially believing coaching and my playing days were behind me, I've embraced the opportunity wholeheartedly. Little did I know, this decision would lead to a profoundly fulfilling chapter in my life.

Transitioning from coaching baseball to girls' softball, I've discovered a new level of satisfaction and purpose. Today, alongside other great coaches I help lead a 14U, 16U, and 18U teams, nurturing and empowering young female athletes to reach their full potential. The journey has been immensely rewarding, and I'm very thankful to be able to witness the growth and commitment of these players.

Reflecting on my own development as a player, I acknowledge the profound influences of my own coaches, particularly a mentor who served as a New York Yankees double-A hitting coach. This have given me the understanding of the importance of passing down knowledge and techniques, which I instill into every player. The value of continuous learning and improvement is going shape the next generation of athletes, and I'm committed to give each player I work with that opportunity.

Understands how to detect pros and cons for every athlete on an individual basis. He doesnt take a cookie cutter approach to hitting. Works with the individual to focus on what the individual needs to get better and to continue to improve within their individual swing.

Tony is an awesome instructor, he was able to help my son on hitting, fielding and even throwing a baseball. He’s very knowledgeable instructor and shares that knowledge in a way a player can understand, like why they do what they do such as a specific drill or movement when hitting, field or in any part of a baseball game. My son went from no confidence in hitting a ball to understanding his swing and ball location within a couple of months and looks totally more confident when hes at bats in a game. Tony also works well with me on what we should be work on outside of the batting cages and gives good feed back of his progression from week to week. Great teacher...

The coach was easy to work with and super professional . My son Eric has been struggling with his swing for a long time but coach tony helped him focus on what he can change. My son seemed to take a quick liking to the coach and I already booked a package deal with him. When my sons happy , I’m happy. Thank you again Coach!
