Danielle M. says, "Coach Enochson has been one of the most amazing coaches my son has ever had. In the first lesson I could see a big change in his swing, after the first few lessons he hit his first out the park homerun. This Coach not only loves the game but loves teaching the game to kids. You lights up when they do, he celebrates the wins and coaches through the struggles! I’m so grateful to have him as my sons coach. " Read more

With 10 years of professional playing experience and over 7,000 hours coaching 300+ hitters, I understand what players truly need to succeed — not just in practice, but in real game situations. I help baseball and softball hitters build confidence, focus, and a clear approach at the plate so their swing shows up when it matters most. My training goes beyond mechanics and teaches players how to think, compete, and adjust in the box. What makes my coaching different? I build confident, clutch hitters by focusing on mindset, focus, and approach—not just mechanics. The swing matters. The mind matters more. While many instructors focus only on ...

Your Baseball Training questions, answered

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Lessons.com.

How much do private baseball lessons cost?

Private baseball lessons cost $50 to $75 per 30-minute lesson and $80 to $140 per 1-hour lesson. The price depends on your location, the instructor's experience and reputation, the student's age, and whether the lesson includes extras like a video analysis of the player's performance.

Many coaches offer lower prices per lesson if you purchase a package that includes 6 or 10 lessons. The average package prices are:

  • 6 pack of 30-minute lessons: $270 – $420
  • 6 pack of 1-hour lessons: $450 – $720
  • 10 pack of 30-minute lessons: $400 – $600
  • 10 pack of 1-hour lessons: $700 – $1,100

Are private baseball lessons worth it?

Private baseball lessons may be worth it if your child currently plays the sport, loves it, and has expressed an interest in improving their skills and performance. Private lessons can help your child advance their skills, develop good habits, and avoid forming bad habits.

Motivation and a drive to improve are key factors in whether or not the lessons will actually help your child. It's important for your child to practice in between private lessons.

Children who receive private baseball lessons are usually more likely to advance to playing at higher levels than children who only receive group coaching during regular team practice. However private lessons don't guarantee your child will play collegiate or professional baseball.

What is the difference between private and semi-private baseball lessons?

In a private baseball lesson, the athlete trains one-on-one with an instructor who tailors the lesson specifically to their needs and skill level. In a semi-private lesson, two athletes work together with one instructor. Semi-private lessons, also called partner lessons, typically cost 10% to 20% less than private lessons. However, because the trainer's attention is divided between the two athletes, the athletes don't get the same level of individualized instruction as they would in a private lesson.

What age should you start pitching lessons?

Baseball instructors generally recommend that children start pitching lessons at around 8 to 12 years old, though there are no age requirements or exact rules. Learning fundamental pitching skills early on can help your child avoid developing bad habits that will be difficult for them to break later.

However, your child should not start taking pitching lessons until they are comfortable throwing the ball as well as catching the ball one-handed.

I have been trying to find someone to provide baseball lessons for my son for quite some time through this platform and Chris from turn 2 baseball was the first and only person to reach out to me regarding my inquiry from all the inquiries I’ve submitted for lessons. He has been doing an excellent job with my son. I have noticed a big improvement in his swing. My son enjoys the time he spends with Chris weekly and has been incorporating all his tips and suggestions. We’re glad we found someone who takes the time to listen, provide feedback for improvements and also encouragements to boost his confidence.
