My goal as a music educator is to provide lessons that promote musicianship. I take pride in challanging my students to reach their higest musical potential. If that means the lesson goes over ten minutes I'm willing to make that sacrifice. As a music teacher for over 20 years and a professional musician for about 30 I bring a wealth of real world and classroom knowledge. With a B.A. in music (with an emphasis in jazz performance) and a teaching credential from San Jose State, Todd studied sax with the legendary Joe Henderson and also with Mel Martin, and classical flute with Ray Fabrizio, Al Cromwel, and Isabel Chapui Star. ​ Todd has been teaching music for over 30 years and currently teaches music for Monterey Peninsula Unified School District. My name is Macario My band mates and colleagues like to call me Maca. I've been playing guitar for almost 20 years, and have been playing music since I was a child. I started out on tuba/piano, rehearsing and playing in ensembles, and branched out to guitar when I was in highschool. With a laid back vibe and decent music theory knowledge and experience playing various groups, I hope to make this experience as painless and easy going as possible.
