About
Bringing about a safe space for my students to learn, question, and create is the most important and meaningful part of my job. I always do my very best to make students feel comfortable in the uncomfortable, confident in their creations, and safe to ask questions.
Teaching music is my favorite thing to do in the world because I get to share what I love the most with others. I truly love education with all of my heart and helping students understand more about the wonderful art of music is my passion.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually start by asking the student what they would like to get out of Music Lessons. What are their goals? What kind of music do they like? Have they ever taken lessons before? These are typical questions I ask during the first lesson. I then assess where the student is at in terms of level, and we move forward from there!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music with an emphasis in Composition and Technology. I also have 3 Associate's Degrees from Grossmont College- an AA-T in Music, an AA in Music- Classical Studies, and an AA in Humanities & Fine Arts.
I have been teaching private music lessons in addition to group classes since 2017. I have been teaching online lessons since Spring of 2020.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I have my students pay at the beginning of the month for their lessons. If you need to cancel, just let me know at least 24 hours before the lesson, and you will get a lesson credit. If you do not give me adequate notice, ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ข๐ญ๐๐.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching in 2017 at my childhood music studio. I was hired by my old music teacher who I used to take lessons from growing up. From there, I continued to teach in a studio setting for 4 years. I now am self employed and teach independently.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all levels. I greatly enjoy working with beginners as well as more experienced musicians.
I have also worked with students that have mental and physical disabilities. I am always more than happy to accommodate each student's individual needs.
