What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I want to listen to why my client considers hiring a coach, consultant, or mentor. In addition, I would like to know where my client's needs are as a starting point. Then, I will suggest a suitable plan for each client as needed with a mindful conversation and assessment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a trained adult in Alternative Education with decades of experience working with children, teachers, and parents.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have pricing packages conducive to how many family members would participate in the coaching program as a team if desired or individually.
Starting fee is $150 per one-hour session through $250 per session. Please inquire about more personalized packages and rates available to you.
How did you get started teaching?
I became a teacher by the influence of my Aunt many years ago. I became a parenting and life coach due to my extensive experience working with children and adults who are parenting figures. I saw the need for guidance and realized how positively I could impact and influence so many.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked as a parent educator and a teacher. I work with families and individuals of all ages.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Most recent is my opportunity to work with a young child and her ability to work with me individually for 3 hours straight and still be fully engaged to the end. It is ongoing coaching for the parents, and I can gather the necessary information to help the parents who have challenges with the child when in distress. I am content that the parents now recognize that the child responds when spoken to skillfully and effectively.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would ask the students to be unafraid to seek guidance with me in a safe space created for my client always. They will have my undivided attention, and I will let them know if I am not the right person for their needs.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I encourage them not to think too hard because that's why they are hopefully coming to me to feel at ease. I want my client to know that I am here for - them. The more open and honest the client is with themselves our conversations will flow naturally. They have a safe & loving place with me.
