What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We specialize in one-on-one lessons and will work with you to make sure we meet at a time that is convenient for you.

We offer lessons in the mornings, afternoons, evenings and on the weekends.

Once you let us know your preference day/time-wise we will send you some options to pick from.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We are crazy about sewing. To learn more about our team, please visit:

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Each lesson is 2 hrs. long and costs $100.00. Contact us to learn more about our discount programs for multiple lessons.

How did you get started teaching?

I have been sewing since I was 6 or 7 years old. My grandma taught me on her all metal, treadle Singer sewing machine. It was love at first stitch.

Since then I have taken multiple college-level fashion and tailoring classes at Academy of Art University as well as courses with Industry Leaders throughout the United States, Europe and Brazil.

What types of students have you worked with?

We work with students of all ages and skill levels.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Project Runway is one of my faves. I also enjoy watching the runway shows at NYFW.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Make sure that you work with someone who takes your goas into account, whether it be apparel making, quilting, alterations, patternmaking, etc.

Sewing is all about practice. The more you do it, the better you get at it.

Life is already too complicated as it is; let sewing take you back to a time when things weren't so hectic.

While it is important to have a goal and work hard toward it, remember to enjoy the process and to be forgiving.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
