Shine On Studio
About
Learning new techniques and experimenting with audio has always been a passion for me. Setting a new bar for expectations of the audio world is not a challenge, it is a part of life I pursuit everyday. My time is invested in pristine audio equipment and exploring the possibilities of music.
I studied audio produciton at Saint Mary's College of CA and then continued to further my education through workshops and specialty classes. Now I am an instructor for the Recording Connection based in Los Angeles. I teach students of all levels of skill at my studio in Oakland, CA. I've been operating a professional recording studio since 2001 and have extensive experience in digital audio produciton.
Being creative is just in my nature. Finding new ways to record, mix, and experiemnt with audio is what gets me out of bed in the morning. I spend hours in the studio learning new ways to use my equipment and software so that I can create and produce unique audio soundscapes. Giving my clients something that is more that what they expected is always my goal. When clients come back to me for more work and production, I feel a gratifing feeling of accomplishment.

How did you get started teaching?
I was asked by my college professor to help tutor and mentor other students in the audio production classes. As a freshman, I was teaching juniors, seniors, and post-graduate students how to use audio equipment and work in Digital Audio Workstations. Since then, I've been asked by my peers and 3rd party institutions to do lectures and teach audio production courses to their students.
