About
Mark started his basketball career in 1984, playing in the NCAA at University of Central Arkansas. Following that, he joined the army and played on the All-Army team from 1985 to 1988. He went on to play professional basketball from 1990 to 1994 throughout Europe and Mexico. In 1992, Mark was chosen to lead a special team, the American Airlines All-stars, put together by the NBA and Hoopitup to facilitate and implement basketball clinics throughout Europe and Central America.
Mark has been involved in coaching basketball for more than 25 years all over the USA and internationally. Mark's first coaching opportunity presented itself back in 1989. He coached a variety of Division 1 College camps. In 1990, he became affiliated with PAL (Police Athletic League) and worked with them for five years.
Since 1993, Mark has had the good fortune of coaching for the following NBA Players Basketball camps: Donyell Marshall, Joe Smith, Adonal Foyle, Brian Shaw, Byron Scott and Antonio Davis. He has worked on the Golden State Warriors camps, Chicago Bulls camps and Pete Newell Big Man camps specializing in elite high school players, international players and professional players.
In 2011 Mark became part of the Five-Star Camps family. I also became NCAA certified for North America, US Basketball, Nike Sparq Certified. Most recently, Mark became a Certified Basketball Player Development Specialist through Impact Basketball Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mark is looking forward to sharing his experience, knowledge and passion for the game with both seasoned and up and coming talent throughout North America.
