Introduction & Background

My name is Dmytro Doroshchuk, a professional handball player and coach currently based in Los Angeles .

I am a former captain of the Ukraine National Handball Team with more than 25 years of experience in professional handball and over 15 years competing in European competitions, including the EHF Champions League.

During my professional career I played for clubs in several countries across Europe and internationally, including:

•    Portovyk Yuzhny (Ukraine)

•    Hapoel Rishon LeZion (Israel)

•    ZTR Zaporizhzhia (Ukraine)

•    Dinamo Minsk (Belarus)

•    Motor Zaporizhzhia (Ukraine)

•    Wybrzeże Gdańsk (Poland)

Currently I play and coach with LA Team Handball in Los Angeles

Our program includes:

•    Weekly youth handball training sessions

•    Introduction to Olympic team handball

•    Physical fitness and coordination development

•    Teamwork and leadership training

•    Community sports activities for children

The goal is to create a healthy, positive sports environment where children can grow stronger, more confident, and active through sport.

Current Community Impact

Children from different backgrounds participate in our training sessions and community activities.

Last year our youth players also participated in the Turbo Cup youth tournament, where our team became tournament champions.

The program continues to grow as more families in Santa Monica and Los Angeles become interested in handball.

Vision

My goal is to develop youth handball in the United States and build a strong community program in Santa Monica and Los Angeles.

With the right support and partnerships, we hope to:

•    expand youth training programs

•    introduce handball in schools

•    organize youth tournaments

•    make handball accessible to more children
