I have been coaching baseball and softball for over 45 years, including at both Buena and Ventura High and leading clinics for the Brazilian junior national team and coaches all over. The best recommendation I get is many area coaches send their kids to me to help them get better.

Ever since the first team I coached in the 70's, it's been a blast watching the improvements, seeing kids reach their goals, some even making that important all-star team, high school team, or even getting a college scholarship.

Very dedicated! Rain or shine, he worked his butt off. He motivates his students and he cares. Worked with him for years and he became one of the family. He knows his stuff, is extremely knowledgeable in all areas of coaching softball/baseball. I was a great player because Andy was my hitting/catching coach. I never received the same quality of coaching from anyone else, not even in college. I highly recommend Andy!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Depending on what you want to acheive,

whether it's hitting more doubles, triples, or home runs or just striking out less,

whether it's learning or advancing at the catching position, 1st base, 2nd base, 3rd or short, or outfielding,

or if you just want to learn how to make all-stars, a travel team, the high school team or get a college scholarship,

I will see what you have to work with currently in your skills or knowledge and provide you the proper techniques and work on those and assign you practice goals to work on until the next time we meet.

Many coach's kids come to me because even if you know a lot, their kids seem to learn better and acheive more coming to me, because of my 45 years experience, I can see things and fix things many others can't.

I just like working with the kids in either fastpitch softball or baseball as I have done both and it's fun for me to see them reach their goals.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelor's in Recreation, which included a class in "The Theory of Baseball Coaching" taught by a 2 time NCAA championship coach, Bob Heigert.

Have played with and coached former major and minor league players.

A 4 year member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I have 3 prices depending on what you want to accomplish. I charge $40 for one lesson if you just want someone to give you a quick fix. But if you want to learn how to get better and can commit to more lessons you can purchase a block of 4 for $140 or a block of 8 for $240.
