Hwa Rang Do® World Headquarters Academy is a traditional martial arts school, which maintains the classic values of Eastern thought. Hwa Rang Do® which means “The Way of the Flowering Knights” was founded by Dr. Joo Bang Lee in 1960, Seoul, Korea. It is based on the philosophy and spirit of the Hwarang Knights, 1800 years ago, who unified Korea for the first time in its history.

The Martial Art of Hwa Rang Do® emphasizes the balance of mind, body, heart, and spirit to maximize the human potential so that one can live in harmony with others and nature.     Hwa Rang Do is the most comprehensive martial in the World. In the Two and 1/2 years that I’ve been practicing, I’ve learned grappling, stand up fighting, open hand forms as well as weapon forms, Joint manipulations, weapon fighting, and all of this is just a surface scratch of what this amazing art provides. The instructors are immensely knowledgeable, patient, and are always stirring you to make your self better, stronger, and self sufficient.     The most well rounded martial art school ever. Not kidding!
    How would you like to learn more than just how to protect yourself against the evils of the world? 
    Not only does this art teach you outer strength,  it teaches you inner strength also.  How to calm your mind through medication,  so that you can be better prepared for physical attcks.
    In all of life you need balance of mind, body, spirit.  Youre probably heard this before. 
    But have have you experienced it?  All of it in one school.  You can. 
    Everything from grappling, sparring, weapontry, meditation and even some healing techniques.

    2 years ago my son wanted to start practicing martial arts. After trying different places we decided that our search ended when we found this place. We both started practicing since then. Hwa Rang Do is more than kicking and punching, it is complete martial art that includes weapons form, and grappling from white belt. This is a great way to develop self control, self confidence and focus. I am 46 years old, practing Tae Soo Do keep my joints moving and my mind sharp. One of the best decisions I have made.

    Hwa Rang Do World HQ Academy is also the residence of the Founder, Supreme Grandmaster Dr. Joo Bang Lee. He is a living legend amongst martial artists and is an official Martial Arts Museum Hall of Fame member.
