We teach all ages, amateur to pro. Many of our students have become top pros, and our school students take many awards including first in the state both woodwinds and brasses. I have been Blessed with the chance to help hundreds of students to play correctly. It saves a lot of money, time, and toil to learn correctly the first time. I have also put many students back on the path of playing correctly. There is no reason to have difficulty and frustration learning. Of course, I must admit, it is VERY satisfying to see my students out doing a great job as pros or teachers, or solving major problems in the industry....

My name is Macario My band mates and colleagues like to call me Maca. I've been playing guitar for almost 20 years, and have been playing music since I was a child. I started out on tuba/piano, rehearsing and playing in ensembles, and branched out to guitar when I was in highschool. With a laid back vibe and decent music theory knowledge and experience playing various groups, I hope to make this experience as painless and easy going as possible.

Oliver T. says, "Mr Howe always conducted very focused, and disciplined lessons in which we focused a lot on the basic fundamentals of trombone playing. He always stressed the importance of making it feel easy to play the trombone. We also worked on the music I was assigned for school, or college audition material, as well as various classical concertos, and etudes. The 8 years I spent studying with him (partially over zoom) since I was a raw beginner was difficult at times, but it pays off for me every single day as I continue my career as a gigging trombonist in New Orleans. Mr Howe ingrained good habits in me, and layed a perfect foundation for voice on the trombone. After studing with Mr Howe I feel well prepared to become a professional trombonist. I highly recommend taking lessons from Don Howe if you are serious about playing the Trombone." Read more

Aaron has helped me a lot. Especially improving my left hand capabilities. He is familiar with many different styles of music. He is also very good at figuring out how to play pieces that were not written for accordion.

Don Howe has been the low brass coach at Northgate HS for 12 years. Every section and individual I send him, consistently improves! He is equally adept at working with advanced players, and at developing the less experienced. He is an insightful teacher, and an outstanding musician.
