Each session, I focus on teaching a lesson tailored specifically to each students' needs and moving step by step accordingly based on a structured syllabus. If necessary, and at no cost to the student, I am willing to go overtime with the student to ensure that they go home with a clear understanding of their piano pieces and what is expected from them in their assigned homework. I am a classically-trained Gospel & Christian Contemporary keyboardist. I was also a high school music teacher for 12 years and a church music director for 8 years. I believe that music is best learned the way we learn language as a child—by listening, allowing our brains to connect the dots, and developing skills through exploration, repetition, and interaction.
