Sewing has always been a passion of mine. Both my grandmothers sewed and I grew up sewing with them. I've sewn seriously for about 6 years or so. I have made many dresses, including commissions for others, and have taught sewing to a couple people already! I have a passion for creativity and thinking out of the box. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I get to know them a little bit, ask them their goals, and figure out a plan for how they would like to proceed. Then I go through the basics of sewing. How to use a sewing machine, the basic stitches, how to cut out a pattern, etc. Then we will start with a simple project that uses some newly taught techniques.
