About this pro

The Apprentice of Peace embraces all philosophy of wellness, but Tai Chi & Qigong are our foundation

Tai Chi is a proven system for improving balance, mental clarity & focus.

A unique approach of connecting practitioners with energy through the breath, causing internal relaxization, promotingg internal flow which creates the practice of tai chi. In group classes or in private sessions the breath is always the focus we build off.

Why should you come train with me?
Show me your stress, show me your tension and I'll show you ways you can connect and realign your body to get rid of your stress and tension. In my class's we focus on relaxing the body through breathing and finding that communication between the bodys tension and our intention to relax the tension in our bodies. That communication is community, the community of your wellness, health and fitness.

AOP is one of the most inspiring and well run organizations I have come across in Denver. They strive to meet the needs of the community they serve and continuously model inclusivity and empathy. The healing energy is abundant on so many levels. I encourage everyone to get involved with AOP and watch how their wellness is brought to a higher standard than they thought possible. I wish there were more stars to give!

He is very aware of what you can or can not do physically and helps you along accordingly. He is very polite and well mannered. He welcomes questions and is totally open to explaining things or answering your questions without making you feel uncomfortable asking questions. He is one of the best instructors I've had in a good long while.

I love what this organization stands for and the peace they're bringing to individuals and the communities they work with. I also enjoy their workshops and tai chi exercises as they help balance me physically and emotionally.

How did you get started teaching?

I had been studying Qigong for years by myself and I had grown into a space where I wanted to teach what I had learned. My journey started in the denver city park when I met friends who were really interested in what I was doing, as far as Qigong, I started teaching what I knew and decided for me to be more informed and prepared to teach people, I would go and study under Masters who could give me the knowledge I was missing.

I found Three Master instructors and from there my practice has grown and turned into something that is definetly unique

What types of students have you worked with?

My organization and company started teaching in the community centers to our elders and it grew to teaching tai chi classes for the kids in denver public shcools. I've had to train the instructors who work for my company and I've also done teacher retreats and training.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

We just had a 5 year gala that was an awesome experience , all of our friends, family and community partners come out to show support. after five years of teachinng youth in the public school not just tai chi but how to be Apprentices of Peace.

The Dinner was awesome, the preformances went off wthout a hitch and we rasied over 3,500.00 dollars. This was a definig moment in the Appprentice of Peace history that was a major accomplishment.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

My only advice is to feel the energy, before i had found my teacher i had met a few instructors who were good at the art but their energy was stiff when it came to their teachiing sytles.

energy speaks a lot about the person who is teaching it.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Students should be open to learning new things but at the same time have an idea of what they are trying to accomplish as far as pratice, life and living.
