About
I have been playing the trombone since I was nine years old. I recieved my bachelors in performance at Cal State Northridge in 2016 and received my masters in the same major at the University of Denver. The trombone is a unique and versatile instrument, and is very fun to play, so I always encourage kids to try it out! Whether you are looking to be a musician or are just a life-long music lover, learning the trombone is a worth-while endeavor. My performance experiance ranges from small jazz gigs to performing world premiers at Carnegie Hall. I aspire to teach music the way my teachers taught me, because they always had faith in me and pushed me to go farther than I thought I could ever go.
I love playing music, especially on the trombone. Teaching the trombone is a wonderful experience, since I get to share what I've learned with others. Learning a musical instrument is not easy, but once the work is put into it and music is made, you feel the sense of accomplishment. As human beings, we are naturally musical people, and playing music in any way can be a great creative outlet no matter who you are.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I need to see what aspects of trombone playing the student understands or needs more help with. I will typically ask them to play something, and then explain what I observed about their playing (posture, slide technique, tounging, air support, etc) and then I will come up with exercises to help them work on their weeker points.
