My second lesson today reflects that I’m self taught and lacking true skill sets. I hadn’t picked up my guitar in 20 yrs. At 69, I’m excited to start this journey with Duncan. He provides encouragement, and so much patience, which makes me feel at ease . Clearly he has a heart to share his knowledge and watch his students succeed.

My daughter started taking ukulele lessons with Eric on Zoom during the spring of the pandemic. At 10-years-old, she was the youngest and only child in a beginners group ukulele class of adults. But she held her own and with Eric's coaching, she was able to learn to play fairly quickly. It was great for her to be able to learn an instrument and have a creative outlet during that tough time of quarantine. It also sparked the beginning of her love for music that has continued to grow now as she is in her teen years. As she got older, she transitioned from ukulele lessons to private guitar (both acoustic and electric) as well as piano lessons. Through the years she has learned so much from Eric. She went from a kid with no musical background to reading music fluently, studying music theory, playing four instruments, and performing guitar solos at school concerts. It's amazing how much she was able to learn through her weekly virtual lessons with Eric. He is an amazing music teacher and great with kids. He is patient, encouraging, and able to deliver instruction in a way that makes it easy and enjoyable to learn. I would highly recommend Eric to anyone looking for a music teacher for their young kids or teens.

I worked with Ms. Claridge thru my high school sophomore, junior and senior year. I learned so much working with her and she made me realize my strengths and showed me how to improve my weaknesses. She helped me with my college auditions as well. I'm now a sophomore at University of Michigan studying drama. I highly recommend Thespian Journey to everyone who wants to study theatre.

Rowan is an excellent teacher!! Right away in our first lesson, she taught me how to hold the guitar and pick which helped make playing easier. She tailored the lessons to what I was looking for and made the lessons fun! In a short amount of time, I saw noticeable improvement under her teaching. I would highly recommend her!
