Hi! I've been teaching for 30 plus years both privately and in the public schools. I love starting new students. I have a knack for relating to beginners (perhaps because I'm a kid at heart).

I have a degree as a music specialist. My major instruments were flute and organ. I currently play French horn in two groups - New Horizons Band and Foothills Pops Band - and clarinet in another New Horizons group.

I like to incorporate theory into my lessons. I feel that it is important to be able to read music as well as play it. I like to give instructions in a way which helps the student remember what was taught using games and stories.
