About

The Yoga business i have created is called Peaceful World Yoga and i believe i stand out because i differentiate for the specific needs of the students i work with. I tailor classes based on all that my students share and compile that information and create a personalized private class or semi private class that will lead to self transformation and personal empowerment and growth. I also stand out bc i am trained in all 8 Limbs of Yoga, which means i don’t always just teach poses, but can lead meditation, energy work, chakra healing and balancing, massage healing work, and a variety of types of Yoga classes.

I absolutely love the people i work with and the types of Yoga I teach. Since i have a variety of services, i love to blend different modalities together based on students needs.

Melissa and Peaceful Works Yoga is absolutely amazing! Melissa gave 100% to make a phenomenal yoga program for me. I learned more that i expected. I learned many ways to help myself in my day to day life, such as nitrition (Ayurveda) meditation, and ways to love a positive and healthy life! We went on an amazing retreat where we learned so much more than we we ever would have without this experience. I can’t thank Melissa enough for everything she had taught me. Truly a life changing experience!

    Frequently asked questions

I like to contact my students to discuss specific needs and the. Set up a personalized plan that meets their growth goals for whatever they are wanting to achieve.

    I have a PH.d in trauma therapy.

I am a certified Yoga instructor. 200 and 500 hour training and have been teaching for ten years. I am a children’s yoga certified yoga instructor

I have a certification in Mindfulness practices from Mindful Schools and UMASS.

I am Reiki trained and certified and am also an Ayurvedic practitioner and hands on energy healer.

Most of my prices are on my website:  www.peacefulworldyoga.com but for Yoga and Meditation/Mindfulness classes it varies based on needs and time.  I work on a sliding scale so that I can work with people to find a price they can afford to meet their health goals.

I have been practicing yoga and meditation since I was quite young and have always had a passion for these practices.  I taught in public schools and always taught my students yoga to help them move and get their blood flowing and meditation to help them find quiet and peace within.  I trained at the Himalayan Institute under the guidance of some incredible teachers and then began teaching formally in rec centers, yoga studios, meditation centers, and in many public schools teaching Youth.  I also do a Yoga Teacher Training and a Self-Transformation program for adults, teens and children.

I have worked with every age imaginable. I currently teach pregnant mamas and newborns, youth of all ages, adults and senior citizens in chair yoga.

I worked with all body types and personal needs and can differentiate for all types of needs and goals.

I held a Spring Equinox Super Moon Restorative Yoga with a Crystal Healing and Fire Ceremony.

I also held a Family Yoga class at a school where there were over 500 attendees participating.

I recently held a Tibetan Healing Bowl Ceremony.

I would advise students to ask a lot of questions about how the teacher will meet their personal health and/or fitness goals.

I would also ask the teacher where they received their training and what ongoing training they continue to take.

I would advise students to think about:

What are their personal health/fitness goals?

How much time are you willing to dedicate to your practice(s)?

I would let teachers know what current and past injuries you have.

What are you financially able to invest on YOU!?
