Recently voted Best Alternative Fitness Studio in TownVibe's Readers' Choice Awards, Dojo Fairfield is open 7 days per week, and teaches Youth Karate, Adult Kickboxing, and Dojo Fitness (a 30 minute High Intensity Interval Training program) classes. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start all students out on a 2 week KickStart Trial to see if our schools is a good fit. The KickStart Trial includes 2 weeks of training (2 classes per week for 2 consecutive weeks) plus a uniform for youth karate students, or a t-shirt for adult kickboxing students - for only $20. We find that this is best way to fully immerse yourself or your child in our program prior to making any decisions on further training. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We have various tuition options for martial arts (karate and kickboxing training) which range from $99/month to $179/month dependant on frequency of classes and duration of contract.
Our Dojo Fitness program allows for drop-ins at $15/class, 10-class and 30-class packs, as well as a monthly tuition option of $79/month (for unrestricted classes).
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with students of all fitness levels from absolute beginner to serious athlete - ages 4 and over.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
We recommend calling a few places, gaining references and asking friends whom they recommend. Chances are if your friends like a school you may as well.
If looking at martial arts school, be sure to ask about hidden fees. Many schools charge extra for belts and rank tests. At Dojo Fairfield our tuition is all-inclusive and takes into account many of the little fees which add up over time. With this in mind, a lower monthly fee may actually end up at a higher price point over time.
