As a self-taught artist, I am interested in getting people to express as purely themselves. I focus mainly on the process and internal experience. I believe the core reason for creating is for the artists experience of their process, their relationship with themselves as they create. Discovering what moves them and how to express that, and getting the mind out of the way so that things can come out instinctually.

I've lived in New York since I graduated from college, yet am currently in quarantine in Cincinnati, Ohio, where I set up an additional studio when the lockdown began. Online lessons are great right now, or social distancing 6 feet away outdoors, en plein air. My studio is in a beautiful, historic neighborhood with lots to paint.

I am an artist and illustrator, I've been selling on ESTY since 2009. Prior to that time I've freelanced part time as an illustrator since the late eighties. My work is fun, colorful ad character-driven. I became interested in doll making in 2003 and took a course in needlefelting. I create some of my characters in 3D form and took a workshop with famed needlefelt fiber artist Deborah Pope. I am available to teach this fun and unique form of sculpting in wool.
