Tod has a great breadth of knowledge when it comes to the guitar and music theory. Don't get me wrong, guitar theory and technique books and online videos are great. Ling laoshi is equally fluent in Mandarin and English, so she's able to explain difficult Chinese cultural and language concepts with ease. She also prepares a tailored vocabulary list with definitions and pinyin after each lesson - the time taken to do this is greatly appreciated. I also like that her lessons are on Zoom because it makes it really easy to show up on time each week. And on top of it all, Ling laoshi is extremely kind, nurturing and warm. I can't recommend her classes enough!
