I created Balance because I saw a need in my life and my student’s life for it. As a busy studio owner, mother, wife and friend I was neglecting the one thing I preached in class. “Self-Care”. As women, we tend to feel guilty for taking the time for ourselves, we feel that we are being to selfish, we promise ourselves tomorrow we will start, and tomorrow comes and we are in the same place we started “nowhere”. Does this sound like the dialogue going on in your beautiful brain?? It was for me.... Even men today are overworked, and feeling the pressure of everyday life. This site is not just for women BUT for all of us...
“If you could wave a magic wand and change anything in your life right now, what would that look like for you?”
That is the most important question I ask all my clients – whether they are 15, 30,50, or 80. The reaction I get almost always is silence. Most people can’t see beyond the life they are in right now. Life as an opportunity to do and be who you want to be? Feel how you want to feel? Look how you want to look? Achieve what we want to achieve? But if you don’t know what that is, how can you live it? It’s time to crack yourself open, to create and enjoy a loving, fulfilling, and abundant life.
I give you permission to let go of shame, let go of can't, and what ifs. Step into the body you love, and play life by your own rules.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typical process for working with new studetns would be the following:
Phone call to discuss what the students needs are
Go over if they would like online or in home privates.
Create a plan
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
200- ERYT (experienced registered Yoga teacher), 500- Yoga Teacher, CRYT (child registered yoga teacher)

How did you get started teaching?
My mother took me to my first yoga class. I was stressed out from the corporate world and she knew I needed to get away. The first time I sat on my mat I knew I was home.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A student who is on blood pressure medication. On medication he is 130 over 72. He had left yoga to go to his doctors appoitment and his blood pressure was 114 over 58. He was shocked at a level that he didn't need the medication.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they come certified with Yoga Alliance. Too many people think they can learn it from a DVD and Yoga is so detailed you need someone experienced.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How long they have been teaching?
Are they registered with the Yoga Alliance?
Do they have insurance?
