We focus on reading only. We use programs such as Orton Gillingham, Wilson Reading Program, Connect to Comprehension. In addition we are all multi sensory with means we use auditory, visual and kinesthetic approaches.
We love the smiling faces we get when the child feels accomplished and successful. We love the parents and the partnerships we make along the way.

The Traveling Tutor has been a God send to my two boys who have struggled with reading comprehension through their primary school years. They both have the extra help through the school, have had other private tutors.... however never the progress made like has been since meeting Mrs. Dawn Youshak. I have listened and witnessed hours of her style, kindness, firmness, and unparalleled skills in succeeding to get my kids caught up with a real understanding of the English language and comprehension of what they are reading. I honestly could not be more pleased, and am very grateful to her. You will not find a better reading specialist, and/or tutor in my opinion. WE LOVE MRS. DAWN!!!!

Dawn is just what my daughter needs. She is patient, she boosts my daughters confidence all while working together and learning. It is a win win situation for my daughter. With her availability to do distance tutoring, we have be able to continue the learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are so lucky to keep the learning going while stuck at home. Dawn has been amazing with my daughter and teaches her so many things.

How did you get started teaching?
I am dyslexic and it was very hard for me to comprehend and verbalize my feelings. I never want to see another child struggle and believe every child can learn in his/her own way.
