What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to meet with a potential student in person so that I find out exactly what their goals are. That way I can tailor my teaching approach to the student's needs from the very first lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a PhD in music theory from Yale University, and I received my undergraduate degree in piano and music theory from the University of British Columbia. Since 2012 I have been the area coordinator of music theory at the University of North Florida.
