My name is Dunia Rodriguez, i am a certified Yoga Instructor in West Palm Beach, Florida. I also run the website Wholistic Lifestyle Blog, which has one goal and that is to help you on your journey as you begin to uncover and embody the highest purpose for yourself in this life, whether that is achieving your next goals in the practice of Yoga, whether it is setting a weight loss goal, improving quality of life, kicking old habits, or recovering from an injury here we offer nutritional guidance as well as customized practices to better suit your individual needs. I incorporate various yoga practices, in including Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Iyengar, Ying Yang as well as guided Meditation practices. My nutritional programs are tailored to your specific needs and restrictions, while keeping in mind a healthy and balanced lifestyle as the goal.
Daily practice, and an attitude of commitment is a must to succeed in attaining your goals, as well as to cultivate the integrity, will, and the tenacity through the healing practices of Guided Meditation and Hatha Yoga. Interweaving a wholistic approach into your health practices and a sense of mindfulness into your daily lives will change your perception of life itself, allowing you to find the joy once more in things you never thought before. Learning new ways to cultivating mindfulness, and ease in everything that you do.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin all of my privates with a postural assessment where i take into account any injuries or limitations the individual may be facing and coordinate a suitable plan for the classes to best aid that inidivudal in coming back towards balance in mind, body, and spirit. There are various styles and ways to teach Yoga, and for very good reason! We are all indivudals and our needs change from perosn to person taking on different faces. Making yoga a wonderfully flexible practice, on and off the mat, that can be adjusted and introudced in just about any situation or perceived limitation allowing the indivdual to work past them. Yoga Allows for a fresh, and renewed mindset in the way we approach the things we do in our daily lives!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently have an Associate's Degree in Art's from Palm Beach State College, and i attended one year at FAU's Exercise Science Program i also have completed in total 3 years worth of Pre-med pre-requisites for Medical School. Recently i have decided to take a break from my studies and pursue my career in Yoga, with my strong premed background and also seeing the many benefits and supporting scientific literature available to us today to back up what the thousands of year old prctice have been telling us all along i would like to bring to the public the many healing benefits this eons old practice holds. I am a Certified Hatha YRT-200 Yoga Instructor, registered in the state of Florida through Yoga Alliance, a non-profit organization.

How did you get started teaching?
Through the years studying pre-med i began to have an interest in yoga, i had practiced for about 5 years before i decided to Become a certified instructor in 2016.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher that resonates with your inner beings calling. What are the reasons youre starting yoga in the first place? Look for a well rounded knoledgeable individual that will go the extra mile each time to make sure you are getting the Full Yogic Experinece. It has to come from the heart! You know what is best for you, follow your gut instinct, it is almost always right.
