Having played for nearly 30 years, I really enjoy sharing what I've learned with others! I'm particularly good at helping beginners get started and build momentum with developing your chops. Sometimes I'm pretty blown away by how quick some of my students start picking it up when they've had time to learn some of the fundamentals of playing guitar. I've never taught anyone to sing and play simultaneously but would love the opportunity to teach it and see what kind of results a student gets. I taught one student as a beginner and then years later we crossed paths again.. she had stuck with it! Not only that, she had travelled internationa...

This is what my student said. I love Eudardo’s singing classes. When i started, I thought I had lost my voice! With his patient guidance my singing voice returned better than it ever was. No matter how inadequate I felt, he made me feel comfortable and at ease, and confident that I can learn and I did. His unique teachings are specific for each student and much fun.

Hi my name is Daron shenofsky I have Been playing guitar for over 15 years now and I am theoretically trained and have played just about any and every style out there live. I play multiple instruments and have gained many different views at teaching and music as i have learned and taught of the years I would say what I bring to the table is an open mind, I’m not here to tell you who you are and there’s one way to play. My ability to play with a pick or finger pick or hybrid pick, to play slide, and in regular and open tunings opens up my teaching to many different boxes instead of being stuck In one box. I am easy to get along with and I’m

Are electric guitar lessons worth it?

Electric guitar lessons are worth it if you want to learn more at a faster pace, develop a better technique, and get customized instructions to improve your style. Only an experienced electric guitar player can understand how to help you improve, so don't settle for a general guitar instructor.

What age is good to start electric guitar lessons?

A good age for kids to start electric guitar lessons is from 6 to 10 years old. Another indication they're ready to learn is whenever they're physically able to hold the guitar and have the hand strength to press the strings.

Adults of all ages can also start electric guitar lessons at any time. With the right guidance and consistent practice, anyone can master the electric guitar.

How many lessons does it take to learn electric guitar?

The number of lessons it takes you to learn electric guitar depends on your goals and how much time you dedicate to practicing those epic solos. Playing a simple tune might take 2 to 6 months of weekly classes.

If you're aiming to rock out like a pro, expect a time investment of 4 to 10 years.

Are acoustic and electric guitar lessons the same?

Acoustic and electric guitar lessons aren't the same because these are two entirely different instruments with unique equipment features.

Learning to play electric guitar requires:

  • Knowing how to use an amplifier and pedals that create sound effects
  • Understanding how to adjust the speaker connection
  • Knowledge of genres like rock, metal, blues, and jazz
  • Special techniques like power chords, palm muting, and string bending

Learning to play an acoustic guitar means you focus on classical, folk, country, pop, or blues music. A pick is optional in acoustic lessons, and you don't need amplifiers or cables. Acoustic teachers also place more emphasis on fingerpicking patterns.

How do I find the best electric guitar lessons near me?

You can find the best electric guitar lessons nearby to suit your needs by checking out our teacher listings her on the Lessons website. Your local music stores are also great places to start when scouting for the best guitar instructors.

  • Request for a references list of past students to verify their track record.
  • Ask for opinions from other parents on what their kids think of the teacher.
  • Obtain a written schedule and contract before the first lesson.
  • Pay for a couple of sessions to see what you think before fully committing to a month's worth of lessons.

  • Can you adapt your teaching methodology if I'm struggling with a concept?
  • What should I bring to class, and how long does each session last?
  • Could I get a copy of our timetable and contract terms?

I began having lessons with Mr. Marth since the beginning of the year and I must say that he is a very responsible and experienced guitar instructor. He is very serious about his work and he always puts in 100% when teaching. I've had many teachers before and Mr. Marth really impressed me with his fun personality and love for music. He teaches the lessons in a very orderly manner, planning ahead of time and is very patient with beginners like me. Encouragement and jokes boost my interest in guitar significantly. He said that it is important to love music in order to do well. I like how he asked students to prepare a binder for music notes and notebook papers to write any questions down. But what I like the most is the little session at the end of the lesson where he will listen to a song that you like and play it on his guitar without any music scores. It really motivates me to practice harder and be able to play my favorite songs just by listening to it one day.
