About
Mark Gelfand has been involved in the bowling industry for over 50 years, as a professional bowler, center manager, pro shop owner (All Pro Bowling & Dart Supply), bowling accessories manufacturer (co-owner of Grip-Rite Sport Supplies), promoter (Action Championship Tournaments), and award winning coach (Broward Junior Coach of the Year 1991, 92, 93 and Past Pres. of the Broward Co. Coaches Assoc.), and Past V.P. of the International Bowling Pro Shop & Instructors Asociation. He was elected to the Broward Co. Bowling Hall of Fame in 1999.
I have coached beginners to pros, but my passion is teaching the game to new and intermediate bowlers --whether individually or as a group. I love watching them improve and see them experience the thrill of learning and enjoying the game and grasping the basics of an approach, the proper release, and how to line up for spares---the basic precepts that will enable them to understand the hows and whys of learning to throw strikes and spare-making.
