NOTE: For those seeking Meditaiton Classes, I do offer Meditation or Mindfulness Stress Based Reduction (MBSR). It is a wonderful way to be introduced to meditation because it is very 'user friendly' to those who have little or no knowledge of meditation. Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction was created by Jon Kabat-Zinn in the 1970s to treat patients struggling with challenges from serious and terminal illnesses. MBSR's popularity has grown from where Jon started it at the University of Massachusetts, to over 24,000 people that have taken the MBSR program.
I took MBSR though Mary Brantley at Duke Integrative Medicine Foundnation. It was an excellent program and I have personally gained a great deal from MBSR and have shared it in my practice. I also use it for a meditative practice at the end of all my yoga classes (I am a trained Yoga Instructor).
You will gain a calm and focused mind and become more in control of anxiety. After an MBSR session you will begin to access more confidence in coping with the ups and downs in your life and you will be able to face the day with a calm and peaceful mind and a more relaxed body. Where the mind is the body will follow. We can work in 30 minute increments or one hour depending on your preference for the MBSR practice. I use soft appropriate music but if my client prefers no music during our sessions none is used.
I enjoy seeing my clients succeed in their lifestyle goals! Their successes no matter how small, they are all important to me. The discovery and research for each client is unique and where it really comes into serving a vital role in the client's journey. It is a rewarding, fun and an intriguing process to find the solutions for each client.
I have a health, food, marketing and fitness background. I have trained at Duke Integrative Medicine for Health Coaching and Harvard Lifestyle Medicine Institute for Culinary Coaching. My Meditation Training was through Duke Integrative Medicine. As an on-hands mom, I tutored my two sons as well as spent many years a tutor at their schools. I finished college in two and half years and have a B.A. in Communication Arts with an English Minor. I have created many recipes (collection almost ready for publication) and I have written a book on relationships - Playbook for Couples - Repair, Revitalize and Rekindle available on Amazon as a digital download. I am in the process of writing another book on helping clients get unstuck and move forward to happier and healither lives. Currently rebuilding my website. Payment can be done via email (invoice) or Apple Pay.

My clients get downloadable material from each session relevant to the topics discussed that the client/student can put into a notebook and refer back to or keep on their desktop or smart phone to refer to. My health coaching is from Duke Integrative Medicine Health Coachcing Foundation and my Culinary Coaching is from Harvard Lifestyle Medicine Institute. In between those trainings, I became certified as a Yoga Instructor (YogaFit) and also a Certified Naturopath (Trinity College). I have CEUs in Functional Medicine (Food and the Brain, GW University) and Integrative Nutrition (ReplenishPDX and Josh Gitalis, Clinical ND). I have been interested in food and cooking for most of my life! My serious passion in health and wellness began once I started a family and became a mom of two wonderful sons.
