About
In this era of uncertainty due to Covid 19, I am certain I can help you achieve ALL your wellness goals! Following all CDC requirements, I offer safe and effective workouts, healthy and delicious recipes, and fail proof advice for living YOUR best life!
I have been training/coaching in Pinelllas County for almost 10 years and love helping everyone in my community in whatever capacity they need. I hold numerous fitness certifications through National Association of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as Life Coaching though Expert Rating and Nutrition Expert through Precision Nutrition. I take continuing education very seriously, so I am always up to date with the most current health trends.
I have worked with clients of every background and fitness goal, and I am proud to say that they have all been very happy with their results. There is a saying that if you "love what you do for a living, you will never work again" and I can honestly say I have not worked for almost 10 years!
I love meeting and helping people and am so grateful that many of my clients have become great friends. I love the diversity...EVERY day is different yet rewarding. Whether it is conducting a bootcamp on the beach, cooking with a client, helping my elderly clients with with pain management, coaching young children or reading/writing/researching programs, i feel blessed to have such an amazing career.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I offer a free fitness consultation, health assessment and complimentary workout to help potential clients determine if my fitness/nutrition philosophy and training style is a good match to help them meet their goals. Once a client commits, I put together a customized workout for our sessions together along with a nutrition plan and a basic strength/cardio workout they can do on their own. I re-assess every six weeks and provide a written summary of their fitness results.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified by the National Association of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I also have corrective exercise, fitness nutrition and senior fitness specializations through NASM as well as a BA in Marketing. In addition to training, I have been a baseball, volleyball and racquetball coach. I take continuing education classes every month, attend workshops and stay current on the latest health and wellness trends. I love learning and sharing my knowledge with clients. I also volunteer in a variety of fitness and sport activities and recently received my life coaching certificate.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I offer several pricing options depending on the number of training sessions and length of training contract. I offer private and semi-private training, and I will work with clients to find a package that fits their budget. Committing to your long term health is important, so the longer you commit to training, the greater the discount...:-)
How did you get started teaching?
I am a lifelong athlete and fitness fanatic. I have played, watched, coached and love almost EVERY sport. I started running the racquetball program at Lifetime Fitness in Austin Texas about 10 years ago as a volunteer and it morphed into a part time job. I decided playing at the gym was more fun than sitting at a desk in the corporate world, so I pursued my PT certification, quit my marketing job at Inntel, sold my house, moved to Florida and have been happily training ever since!
What types of students have you worked with?
My clients range from 25 to 85 with health issues that include obesity, high blood pressure, spine, hip and knee issues, heart disease, COPD, diabetes and various auto immune diseases. Their goals vary from weight loss to toning and body sculpting. Some want to improve balance, flexibility, strength and cardiovascular endurance and others simply want to stay active in their golden years. I pride myself on the diversity of my clients as it helps me to continually expand my knowledge and skill set. If I had to pick my perfect client, I would say anyone who is committed to achieving their goals, because I will make sure you reach them!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I spent several months volunteering at Palms of Largo to help implement Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson's patients. It was very rewarding and educational, and I now incorporate boxing workouts with several of my personal clients which they absolutely love!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't let money be a reason not to work with a personal trainer. You can not put a price on good health, and exercise, proper nutrition and stress relief are the best medicine! Find a trainer who truly understands YOUR individual goals and does not apply some cookie cutter approach to workouts. Each session should be unique and helping you towards your goals. Most importantly, your trainer should be completely focused on you the entire session, and they should be kind and empathetic as well as professional and knowledgeable,
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask yourself how committed you are to reaching your goals and what barriers you may have to overcome in order to hire a trainer. should Consider how much time, money and effort you are willing to put in as well as what types of fitness programs you find interesting and what type of trainer you believe can help you the most.
