About
As the co-founder of a performance group, I can provide future performance opportunities for students. I have loved theatre and film since I was very young. I am able to perceive the strengths and the truth in people and guide them to using those qualities in their craft, as well as developing new strengths over time. Knowing how to move on stage and on camera, and using imagination to understand roles and relationships are also essential ingredients. Empathy, it is said, cannot be taught - but I believe that the empathy demanded by powerful acting can be tapped into by all humans as it is one of our inherent qualities.
I really enjoy seeing my students make progress and gain the confidence to get out there and audition. It's great to see how their passion for acting motivates them to work hard and achieve their goals.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I talk with them about career goals and dreams, previous acting experience. Then I move them through some warmups, and I may ask them to read a piece, followed by a discussion of their strengths and areas for improvement.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained with The Dell'Arte School of Mime and Comedy in California, with Hane Kelly of the Actors Workshop if South Florida, Gail Garrisan and Michael Leeds, two South Florida directors and teaching artists.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $25 for 45 minutes. If you would like to have more time, it would be $30 per hour. I'm also willing to do group classes if you would like to study with friends. A group of 5 people would cost $10 each for an hour. I also teach children and young adults. If you pay in advance for 4 classes, I will discount to $20 for 45 minutes. If you cancel class less than 24 hours before class time, I expect you to pay for the class.
How did you get started teaching?
I have been teaching for over 20 years. Previously I taught English and literature. I was also the drama coach at the school where I taught. I enjoy inspiring others to do their best.
What types of students have you worked with?
First class of 30 minutes is free. After that I charge $25 for the first hour.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do I want to accomplish? What are some skills I can be working on? How do I develop a character? How can I feel comfortable in front of the camera? Which part of the industry attracts me more, theatre, TV or film? How can I build my confidence and prepare myself for auditions? Do I know how to self tape? Do I know how to submit self tapes?
