I have over 20 years of professional baseball experience as; a catcher for the Toronto Blue Jays, a catching & hitting instructor in the New York Yankees’ organization, and a scout for the Chicago Cubs. I have also coached and instructed players, from 12u to 18u, with the Arlington A’s, in Texas before my retirement from public education in Fort Worth, Texas. Quality catchers have to be tougher than your average baseball player. My strength is to make that toughening process individualized, uncomplicated and fun.

I am a Physical Education teacher with a bachelor in my field. I have played baseball since I was 4 years old, and have a perfect temperament to work with kids, making the activities fun for them, which is fundamental in sports. I also speak English, Spanish, French, and I am learning German. I have a teaching certificate and I work in a public school. By 3:00pm I am ready to start anytime you ask for it. Hello! We (Yates Performance) have been training athletes in the treasure coast area for several years and have helped them reach the next level. We train all sports and all ages. We train a multitude of youth athletes, highschool, college and even professional athletes.

Being able to introduce young baseball prospects to understand the fundamentals and intricacies of the game. I coached middle school and high school baseball for 20 years. This includes 14 as a varsity coach, 3 years as a middle school coach and 3 years as a JV coach. I've been retired for over 20 years but have rekindled the passion for coaching and teaching.

I am very passionate about the sport and love to help kids get better. I wasn't able to finish playing college ball due to family reasons, so now my goal is to help others and I love it. I enjoy being able to see the growth of the athletes that I help. I've always been the type of person to be more happy for others succeeding than myself. When it comes to baseball, I will spend hours and days trying to help these younger athletes get better.
