About

I have over 20 years of professional baseball experience as; a catcher for the Toronto Blue Jays, a catching & hitting instructor in the New York Yankees’ organization, and a scout for the Chicago Cubs. I have also coached and instructed players, from 12u to 18u, with the Arlington A’s, in Texas before my retirement from public education in Fort Worth, Texas.

Quality catchers have to be tougher than your average baseball player. My strength is to make that toughening process individualized, uncomplicated and fun.

    Frequently asked questions

We start by going through some drills to identify where your current physical and mental abilities are. From there we develop  a game plan that gets you working towards your future while having fun doing it.

I played with the Toronto Blue Jays, coached in the NY Yankees minor leagues, and scouted for the Chicago Cubs. I have over 20 years of professional baseball experience as well as over 30 years working with amateur players.

I recently retired from public teaching in the Fort Worth Texas area before we relocated in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

My standard pricing is $45 for a one hour session.

The game of baseball creates its’ own teachers! I have always shared my knowledge of the game. I love seeing players, that I work with, develop as baseball players on the field and as productive citizens & human beings off the field. When one of my catchers improves the quality of his game, it’s a win for the game of baseball!
I have worked with beginners as well as seasoned professionals.
Find a coach who is a good communicator and can teach you as an individual. Your abilities are different than others and you your body operates differently, as well. A good coach recognizes these differences and will work on your strengths, as well as strengthening your weaknesses to make you as complete of a ball player a possible.
Try and recognize your strengths & weaknesses; after all, we ALL have them. Once you identify those, then ask what sort of game plan will help you reach your development goals.
