Hello! My name is Brian, I've been teaching piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, and trumpet lessons for over 10 years. Over the years I have taught students of all ages and abilities how to play countless different styles of music. I do all of my teaching online through ZOOM for maximum flexibility and I have a professional audio/visual setup to ensure the highest quality possible. I also offer a free trial lesson to all new students!

I have always loved music and it's amazing being able to share my passion with others. I love being able to give people the advice I wish I could have had when I was learning and I live for those break through moments. Music should bring nothing but joy into your life so I have a very laid back teaching style where I take these difficult concepts and break them down into easily digestible pieces. He teaches in a way that’s easy to understand, yet still pushes you to think critically about how you play. His understanding of both theory and instruments is remarkable (and as a college educator myself, I don’t say that lightly).

Brian is a very understanding and caring instructor, who is passionate about music, knowledgeable and happy to meet you where you are! He makes lessons collaborative and fun, is very optimistic and offers many options for learning. I had some scheduling issues on my end and he was more than accommodating and understanding. I wouldnt hesitate to pick up lessons with him if youve made it this far and are reading this review! Book with him!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Figure out the students' goals and show them how to break things down and practice. Start with basic technical proficiency and later move to more challenging music

Associates degree with emphasis to music. 9 years of experience teaching

$30 for a 1/2 hour lesson each week

How did you get started teaching?

I started working at a local music shop and built up a student base of over 50 students of all ages and levels of experience

What types of students have you worked with?

Students as young as 4 to elderly people. Have also worked with students with special needs.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Last year I performed with one of my students at an event for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and got to meet some of the coaches and players!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Find someone who is open minded about music who will embrace new ways of teaching and is knowledgeable about music as an art form.
