FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

With all students, you have to understand their temperament and physical ability before you can trully help them progress.  Our first step is usually to access these things, and then see what we can do to help them find success following our curriculum.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

20 years of martial arts experience in multiple disciplines, and coaching certifications with The Unites States Fight League, International Kickboxing Federation,  USA Wrestling & Boxing, and Old School Grappling Catch Wrestling Association.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Tuition is monthly based on age.  For students age 4-5, the cost is $65/month.  For older students, the cost is $95/month.  All tuition plans include unlimited membership.

How did you get started teaching?

A friend and training partner started the school with me back in 2004.

What types of students have you worked with?

Any and every kind imaginable.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

My most dedicated student recently won his second US Open championship.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Be careful of folks who promise the world up front.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Health concerns, training goals, finacial problems...anything that may become a problem down the road is best addressed before it becomes a problem.
