Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We first have a quick 15 minute call (no charge) to assess the player's current abilities and desires.
Then qe set up the first lesson (which is normally 90 minutes) and then we provide both a verbal and written overview upon completion.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a former D1 Punter and NFLFA, and have been working with Kicking specialists for over 44 yrs. I have also designed the only true kicking and punting daily manual designed for specialists and special teams coaches that lays out a daily routine to help them with thier kicking.
We also were the first company to design a Coaching On Demand software application where we can view an athlete's kicking swing and make the appropriate changes via the internet for those who may be too far away or do not have a "local coach".
I am also a Certified Community Football Coach (in the stare of GA) as well as having a National "C" License in Soccer, as well as my Goalkeeping Level I and II certification, and lastly my Dutch KNVB National License (I and II)
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes. My standard pricing (since 2009) is $125.00 per hour- but my lessons are 90 minutes long so we dont charge for the last 30 minutes. I have over 40 footballs so we spend a lot of time on instruction
How did you get started teaching?
in 1975 while home from college I start to work with a hs kicker and punter from my old school, and after a short period of time he started to see a big difference in the flight of his "punts" and how he startred to kick his field goals wiht much more consistency. From then on it became one of my passions to help those in the kicking game and to understand who much of a "weapon" a kicking specialists can be who becomes trained
What types of students have you worked with?
From Middle School, HS, college to NFL kickers.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Seeing many of the kids I have worked with from middle school and beyound to now playing on a college football team and even in the NFL. But recently, I attended yet another college graduation of a kicker I trained who is now going into the work force
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Please make sure they have the focus on training you and not just trying to see how much money they can make off of you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How serious am I in wanting to do this- or do my "parents" want it more than I do?
How much time am I willing to put into this sport over all the current activities I am doing now?
What type of "investment" am I willing to ensure I need to each week?
