About
I don't believe in limits. We need to set our sights higher and make goals and then work towards them. Chaos Works is all about eliminating limits. My entire career has been sewing and pattern making and all things fabric. I can introduce you to your new hobby or help you develop an underdeveloped skill in sewing, pattern making, fashion, home decor and beyond. All things fabric I can teach you.
I love sewing and making new things. Many people have expressed to me that the idea of sewing is overwhelming and difficult, but sewing itself is very easy, you can make it complex and challenging, but you can also produce a huge array of items with very basic knowledge. We just have to be willing to try, make mistakes and try again.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I want to assess the students current skill set with sewing. This can be done through a conversation and through some sewing examples. If they are a beginner, then the steps toward lessons are a little simpler to lay out than with someone with moderate experience. Either way I will want to see how the student handles sewing on a sewing machine in person. Basic lessons will all include understanding sewing machine parts and trouble shooting, working with various materials, different fabric finishes and making several items of the students interests throughout the lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design from Pratt Institute. I manage the sewing department for a large advertising display company and have been sewing professionally for over 15 years.
