Anthony Malone - A Guru
Anthony, aka (A Guru) a native of New Jersey / New York Metro Area, fell in love with yoga several years ago and has since enjoyed deepening his practice and sharing his knowledge. Aside from his love of yoga, Anthony is also a certified Running, Cycling and fitness Coach. This vegan athlete and founder of The Atlanta MultiSports Magazine and "Yoga Bites" a vegan dessert/food company. Anthony love's, yoga, art, martial arts, triathlon, health/wellness, and helping people reach their health & wellness goals, which made yoga a natural fit. Anthony has practiced yoga and has since received his certification from Infinity yoga. He has undergone teacher training and earned his 200-hour certification in Atlanta. Anthony is a certified and registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. Besides teaching yoga and managing the day to day at Paper Plane Yoga Studio, Anthony teaches yoga for the employees at Porsche, Norfork Southern, UP TV, City Club Health Spa and gives clinics and speaks at various health & wellness venues on the topics of health, yoga, meditation and lifestyle change.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Inquire about past experiences, ask about current status of their health & wellness, up to and including improvment opportunities that they are looking to achieve. Explore goals and review what their expectations are.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certified fitness trainer, RYT 200 yoga teacher, certified RRCA running coach, Tai Chi instructor and yoga studio owner.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Initial assessments are $20 and standard private sessions $40, per 1 hour sessions. Nutrition and food prep $60.
How did you get started teaching?
Left corporate world as a 30 year veteran of Human Resources management/executive to start a health and wellness career. After becoming a marathoner/triathlete working with so many clients helping them to better take care of their health and get more control over their busy and hectic lifstyles I decided to get the necessary certifications to specialize in the work of healing people through exercise and holistic nutritional diet.
What types of students have you worked with?
Beginners, injured athletes, veterans, special needs, seniors, and intermediate practicioners. I've also assisted athletes prepare for upcoming marathons or triathlons as well as those who are coming from couch to wanting to lead a active lifestyle.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I lead the yoga classes for a summer camp for the Motherless Daughters Organization. The camp was for Girls from 5 to 19 who lost their mothers.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Seek an individual who sees potiential in you more than you do in yourself.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Am I truly ready for a transformation, or is this a passing fancy where I am simply looking for a quick fix and temporary change?
