My greatest passion is seeing my students succeed and grow under my instruction. I strongly feel building a solid foundations and making real-world connections in math leads to continual success. My teaching style encourages students to enjoy learning math while building confidence moving forward. My lessons focus on closing gaps through daily formative evaluations. I enjoy seeing the lightbulb turn on, with that aw ha moment.

I have always been passionate about empowering children to achieve their full potential. I began tutoring students as a volunteer in high school. I attended Boston College and continued volunteering with youths in educational settings. I have over fifteen years of professional experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, including those with learning disabilities, those performing below grade level, English language learners, those on par with their peers, and gifted students. Hi, I'm Kristie! Sometimes, school is a lot. But all we may need to do is take a step back, relax, and figure out where the problem lies. As a student, I understand the way things are taught might not make much sense. A different approach may be all we need. My teaching focuses on the why behind things. I believe in teaching things as if it's a story, even if it's math. I have taken and passed an AP Chemistry class, and I am currently in an AP Calculus class. I have tutored people at school for about 2 year and am able to take somebody who doesn't understand anything to passing their exams.
