Simply put I enjoy teaching the sport I love and working with young players. Giving them a few secrets of success brings a lot of joy to me and hopefully new skills to the players I work with.

How did you get started teaching?
I began coaching soccer over 30 years ago in Cincinnati, Ohio as a club coach and High School Soccer Coach. My desire to coach started out a way to give back to my community and share my love of the game. Little did I know it would become my fulltime job.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages and skill levels. From 3 years old all the way to Division 1 and Professional Soccer Players. I specialize in younger players and experienced players looking to improve soccer IQ and advanced techniques. I believe if you teach them right when they are young you have a better chance for success in the future. I do enjoy working with the more experienced player as well as they can learn new things and concepts faster.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Probably getting a text message from a former player that just made the the under 15 US National Team. He was thanking me for being his coach/trainer for a number of years and creating a passion in him for soccer. Needless to say I was honored.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that the teacher can clearly articulate there teaching style(s) and that they are certified. This shows a continued thirst of knowledge. Soccer is a difficult sport to master and even harder teach. Do your research and ask lots of questions. I can say from experience it takes years to become a great coach and to learn how to transfer your knowledge to each player. Each client is different and I have to adjust my methods to them.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should ask the question why do they want additional help?
Are they willing to put in the extra work to get better?
Do they understand what the learning and mastering process is?
