Carmen Melendez is a bilingual dance instructor and choreographer, born and raised in the city of Chicago. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Dance from Northeastern Illinois University, and she currently studies Applied Behavior Analysis at National Louis University while directing the private dance project she co-founded, Dance With Carmen Dance Company.
