I am currently majoring in Special Education at Northern Illinois University, where I am developing the skills and knowledge needed to support diverse learners. My philosophy as an educator centers on meeting each student where they are, recognizing their unique strengths and challenges. Hello there! My name is Marcelo, I am from São Paulo, Brazil, and have taught languages since 2000. I started teaching Spanish at companies in Brazil, and then in 2004, I moved to Chicago. There I started teaching Spanish but soon more and more students requested Portuguese classes. Two years later I opened a language school dedicated entirely to Portuguese. I have been teaching languages (Portuguese, Spanish, and English) online since 2014. My method is conversational and intercultural.
