I keep myself up to date training with my instructors and attending Martial Arts and self defense seminars. I have taken security and personal protection courses. I am a certified Black Belt in Hapkido, Level 2 Keysi Fighting Method Instructor, Certified S.P.E.A.R Self Defense Coach. I still train in the above disciplines as well as Jeet Kune Do, Brazilian Jiujitsu, and Boxing

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Know what you are looking for everyone has different reasons for wanting to study Martial Arts and self defense. understand the categories, Traditional Martial Arts, Combat Sports, Reality Based Self Defense, Violent Encounters. They all have value but they are not the same. Each category operates in a different environment and purpose

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Why they want to train? Will they be commited? How do they see thier training benfiting them for the long term? Do I want to make this apart of my life?
