I have been sewing since i was about 10. I love to sew and especially enjoy sharing my passion with children. I am sad that many school systems offer no exposure to sewing in their curriculum. Lessons are presented in my Brookfield, Illinois home. I began lessons in 2013. I customize lessons for each student based on experience level and what type of sewing they want to do. Not everyone wants to learn the same thing. I offer beginner and skill-building lessons and refreshers. I am happy to schedule consultations to sewists who need help with a current project. I Every student begins with basic safety procedures. Students may use my sewing machines or bring their own (with the user`s manual). I provide fabric and supplies for practice projects. Special projects based on student`s progress will require the student to purchase their own patterns and fabric. I prefer limiting lessons to no more than two students. Youngsters age 8 and up are welcome.
I enjoy meeting people who enjoy sewing as much as I do. I love fabric and the thrill when that fabric becomes something beautiful. I love sharing my love of the craft. I strive to make each student's experience special.
