About this pro

I love sharing my knowledge and skills with others, and I'm just as passionate about learning new techniques that I can pass on to my students.

I have 30 years of sewing under my belt, 20 years of sewing professionally, and I have been teaching people the basics of sewing since 1994. I also make my own jewelry using embroidery techniques, which I am also capable of teaching to others.

I have a degree in Fashion Design, as well as a degree in Graphic Design. Not only do I know my way around ANY sewing machine, I can teach how to use design and editing software such as Illustrator and Photoshop.

I love to sew! I love to be creative, and I love working with my hands. The best part about the work I do, though, is seeing the client happy. They're smiling, they feel good about themselves, and I make them look good! That's the best reward.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I'll ask them if they have any experience, and if not, I'll start with simple, easy to follow instructions. I'm pretty hands on so I'll be right there demonstrating each step and walking my student through the process. I have my own sewing machines, several of which are portable, so if the student doesn't have a machine and can't come to me, I'll bring mine to them!
