Hello, My name is Mia Davis and I am softball instructor, specializing in outfield and hitting lessons. I played travel softball for the Oak Park Windmills and Bulls Sox Academy before being recruited to play in college. I attended Eastern Illinois University and received my BS in Kinesiology and MS in Sports Administration. I was a starting outfielder from 2016-2021. I have been a travel softball coach for over a year now and am open to helping more girls in the Chicagoland area develop their skills. There is a lot of moving parts in developing an average hitter into a good hitter, good hitting into a elite hitter. The athlete must understand the core basics of hitting. SET, LOAD, SWING MECHANICS, BALANCE AND FINISH. Then the secret becomes communicating with the athlete on how to apply the basic mechanics to his or her approach to hitting. Hi I am a varsity assistant baseball coach at a high school in the north suburbs of Chicago. I operate out of the west suburbs. Been a coach for 25 yrs and been working with youth in lessons specifically for the last 5-6 yrs. My goal is to make baseball better by improving my clients to be the best they can be. My rates are reasonable cause this isn’t all about money but at the same time I need to be compensated for my time.
