Peace Of Fitness
About
I am a Yoga Master with over 500+ hours of training. I have been a Certified Yoga Instructor for over 18 years. As well, I am currently in a Yoga Therapist Training program. My focus is on functional and structural Yoga, which not only helps with overall body alignment, but aids in the overall alignment of mind, body and spirit.
I most enjoy seeing the "before" and "after" when people practice Yoga. The after effects of body alignment and strength, as well as the peacefulness that comes from practicing Yoga, are long lasting effects.

I will do a thorough evaluation with new students to determine their overall goals and the steps we need to take to reach them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to being a Nationally Certified Yoga Instructor with Yoga Alliance, I also have BS in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University, and Master of Social Work (MSW) from Loyola University. Becoming a Yoga Therapist will combine all of my skills and training.

I began teaching Yoga with pre-school age children over 15 years ago. Over the years I have taught Yoga for all ages - from 2 year olds to seniors.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with every level of student - from beginners to advanced pracitioners.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Most recently I taught an all ages seminar at the African Festival of the Arts. This family oriented class was well received and I had many requests to teach it ongoing. One family in the class brought 3 generations - Grandma, Mom and Daughters!
