I am Maggie, my Bachelor's degree is in Instrumental and General Music Education K-8. I have been a teacher and coach in some form since I was 16 years old and have always loved finding creative ways to teach. In lessons, I adapt to the needs of each students (I have taught students of all ages from 4-65) and find new ways to make the learning fun and creative. As a teacher, the primary goal is for students to gain independence. I strive to ensure that students are capable of practicing at home through teaching various practice techniques and encouraging students to identify and solve the problems they are experiencing.

Music Makers of Western Springs, founded in 1981, is a full-service music school located in Western Springs, Illinois, serving the surrounding areas. The school offers a diverse range of programs including private lessons in all instruments, group lessons, and specialized classes such as Musical Theater and Rock Band. They have a dedicated team of well-educated, highly trained instructors who are active in performing, composing, and teaching.
