What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We will custom design curriculum for you that helps you to improve on the instrument of your choice in a systematic and strategic way. We will structure the lessons for you based on what you need that specific day. Some days this may mean that we focus on playing your favorite songs, other days this may mean we work on your ability to groove and learn new concepts.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

The Toscano Sisters are award-winning instrumentalists and composers. They have studied with principal percussionist of The Florida Orchestra John Shaw, Jazz elite Gene Morvay, and other established drum and piano teachers. They started their playing at a young age with Sonny LaRosa and America’s Youngest Jazz Band and have been mentored by John Shaw who is an active percussion member of the Florida State Orchestra.

In 2015, Melody Toscano won a SEmmy award for "Best Epic Music" with her orchestral composition titled "Close Encounters." The sisters are proficient instrumentalist of many instruments including Piano, Soprano and Alto Saxophone, Clarinet, Percussion, Trumpet and Drums, Marimba, Vibraphone, Xylophone, Violin, Flute and many others.
The sisters graduated with a B.A. from Full Sail University for Music Production as a member of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

They have performed on the world renown Festival international de Jazz de Montréal which holds the 2004 Guinness World Record as the world's largest Jazz festival, The Texas Jazz Festival and the Suncoast Dixieland Jazz Festival. The sisters have appeared and been interviewed by ABC and FOX 13 news with America's Youngest Jazz Band, and been mentored by trumpet legend Sonny Larosa who has been recognized by Nat Hentoff and Bill Clinton.
